Nike Air Chukka “Cow”

This sneaker is available in Bingo Runner. It costs 17,800 Yen.
This shoe has been named such because it has some beautiful panels covered in horse hair cow pattern. The patches of alternating black and white cow pattern are interesting and give the shoe a natural feel. The thick, rough stitching lines provide some nice details. There are double tracks of stitching along some parts of the shoe.
When you look at the heel, you can see that the shoe has a rectangular shape because of the rectangular panel at the heel.  It reminds me of the Japanese style of clogs that are rectangular in shape. The heels are high too so the user feels like s/he is walking on blocks of wood. One other country uses wooden clogs and that is Holland. There are other brands of shoes with rectangular designs so this Nike Air Chukka “Cow†is not the lonely one. The sole has a rustic square patchwork pattern. I like the overall design. Everything fits into the black colorway.
The Nike Air Chukka has been designed with comfort in mind. I would use this shoe for the office, as well as for recreational activities. The black color makes the shoe suitable for use in a wide range of functions.

Nike Trainer Dunk Lows for the 2008 Olympics

Every shoe company seems to have Olympic fever this winter. Nike has been active in putting out dozens of shoes modeled after the Olympic medals, historic Olympic Games and specific events. The Nike Trainer Dunk Lows shown above are designed for swimming enthusiasts.
A close examination of the photo above will help you see why these shoes are distinctive. The gold accents and bright-white paint may obscure the fact that there are clear panels behind the swooshes and along the toe boxes. This Trainer Dunk Low is a glorified sandal passing as a pair of cross trainers.
I may not appreciate the clear paneling but there is another distinctive touch that Nike added that is great. Pull out the insoles of the Olympic Gold Trainer and you will see rows of lane markers. The insoles cannot be seen by anyone but the wearer, however, so I give these Trainers a low mark in terms of design.

Nike Womens Dunk High Premium - Medium Grey/Laser Pink
Another cool women’s shoe from Nike is hitting the shelves. The Nike Dunk High Premium in this Medium Grey and Laser Pink colorway is sure to be a hit.
The laser pink Swoosh is the highlight of these shoes. Without it, the colorway would have been drab. But with the power of the pink combined with the solid and patterned grey premium leathers turn this into a very slick shoe.
These shoes are 790 China Yuan Renminbi (about $110 USD) at Dunk.com.cn.

Neighborhood x Red Wing
If you are looking for some hip boots, check out this collaboration between Neighborhood and Red Wing. Red Wing has been making work boots forever and Neighborhood has had some stylish releases as of late. Combined, these two companies have created a winner.
These kicks are mostly black, however the white stitching on the boots really stand out. There is also white used on the logo on the tongue of the boot. More white is used along the bottom. Overall these boots are relatively simple but they are simple in a way that is unique.
Look for these boots in Neighborhood’s 2008 spring/summer collection. They are available now at Cliff Edge.

Vael Project boots.

Vael Project is a new brand of footwear. This is their first collection and they have made a big impact. There are boots, boat shoes, hi-top sneakers and some more styles of shoes. These are high quality footwear. The costs are more as the quality is good. This collection targets the more mature market shoppers who are willing to fork out money for quality.
The first boot has a creative method of lacing using slit holes. The second picture shows a hoot’s heel with corrugated metallic strips, metal buckles and a couple of fancy laces on one side to make it asymmetrical.
The third picture shows a brown boot. I like the compact shape that makes it good for larger feet. The fourth picture has a boot with a white colorway. The shoe lace strip is black. A small panel of brown down the side of the boot makes the shoe look interesting. I like the way the accents are applied for this boot.
The fifth and last picture shows a black boot. It is not a simple black boot. It has a mesh pattern on it. Its accents are in smooth, dark black leather. The toes box is special too. It is capped in a different kind of leather.

Shmack Clothing 2008 Summer Line

Shmack Clothing has produced innovative shirts, jackets and other apparel for fashion-forward people throughout the world. The clothier is coming out with a line of four high-top sneakers for Summer 2008 that revolutionize the market established by Converse.
These high-top sneakers marry disparate colors and the profiles of traditional basketball shoes. The Shmack shoe that I show above is the perfect example of this wild combination. The monochromatic mold of the Converse All-Star is tossed aside by Shmack which uses orange, green, brown and tan on one canvas. The best part of this sneaker is the subtle matching of stars and stitching to create a uniform aesthetic from top to bottom.
You can see the white/turqoise/black colorway offered by Shmack below. The other three members of the Summer 2008 line are more conventional than the sneaker at the top of this post but Shmack Clothing seems to be hitting to all parts of the market. I look forward to seeing how this shoe line will expand Shmack Clothing’s business in the near future. ÂÂ

COPE2 x Adidas x Footlocker
Adidas is teaming up with Footlocker again, this time they have created a graffiti-inspired series with artist Fernando Carlo AKA COPE2.
COPE2 is an internationally known graffiti artist out of New York who has worked with top companies and magazines. Three colorways from the series are shown here - the colorful version pictured above, as well as two more simple editions in black and white. I’m partial to the black colorway, but all these shoes are going to get attention from the artists and graffiti loves.
Get these shoes and the coordinating apparel at Footlocker on March 17, 2008. Via BKRW

Puma Argentina “African Cup Of Nations” Pack - 4 colors

Puma has designed this new pack to support its love for African football. This pack celebrates its collaboration by its name, “African Cup of Nations Pack.†Each pair of sneaker costs about £55 and they are available at ryouki.
Many Africans have travelled to the city where Ohene Djan Stadium is in Accra, Ghana. Even people outside Africa have seen how much culture African football has revived. The colorful display has African Ethnic music and arts brought into the football scene.
The African Nations flags have the same basic colors of green, yellow and red. Some of the African countries have an extra symbol on the flag. The shoe with the red and green stripes and a yellow star in the center is supposed to be Burkina Faso, but this artistic representation is not the real thing. The official information said that these shoes represent Cameroon, Ghana, Ivory Coast and Senegal.
This pack has the basic colors covered. Fans who like black and white will be thrilled to own a set of these shoes. Of course, the colors of the African flag were used for the other 2 pairs of shoes but only the green pair has all 3 colors covered. It is tough to choose a favorite pair but I pick the black colorway because it has back tab with illustrations of a football and the national colors.

Air Jordan I - Opening Day Pack
This shoe commemorates Michael Jordan’s playing days on the baseball diamond rather than the basketball court. When MJ retired from the NBA for the first time, he ended up playing baseball for the Chicago White Sox before being moved down to the minor leages.
The Air Jordan I - Opening Day Pack celebrates his days with the White Sox and their minor league affiliate Birmingham Barons with these shoes inspired by their jerseys. Though the home white version is sweet, I’m partial to black shoes. So the away version pictured above would be my choice.
Expect these sneakers to be released on March 29th. The shoes, which retail for $100 a pair, will release along with matching T-shirts and caps. Via Nike Talk.

Puma Emergency Pack

I loved the Puma RS 100 Emergency Pack as soon as I came across them on SneakerFreaker. This set of three Puma RS 100s cover the span of sneaker needs for any active person. Most packs go all the way to the boring camp or the over-the-top camp but Puma has found a good balance with the Emergency Pack.
The silver RS 100s shown above are great if you need to run errands but don’t want to mess up your customs. The orange pair shown after this post give you a little bit of flavor without going too wild. You can strap on the bright yellow pair if you need to stand out and get attention for your sense of style.
The Emergency Pack from Puma is available at stores outside of the United States but I imagine it will drop here soon. The attraction of American sneaker fans to variety in a sneaker pack cannot be denied by Puma.

Nike Air Force 1 - Black Premiums - House Of Hoops Exclusives
If you like simplicity and style, you won’t be disappointed with these Nike Air Force Ones that dropped at House of Hoops in Harlem last week. These simple black colorways feature premium leather and colored midsoles and heel tabs.
The four available colors are Barn, Chutney, Dark Loden and Medium Grey, combined with all black uppers. You can get the Nike Air Force 1 - Black Premiums by heading down to House of Hoops located at 268 West 125th Street in Harlem.
My favorite of the group is the Chutney (mustard yellow) because it provides the most contrast. However, any of these shoes would be a nice choice if you love versatile black kicks.
