Greedy Genius Apache Yurple
The new Greedy Genius Yurple is a part of their upcoming Greedy Beach release. The Apache Yurple features a 3M reflective tongue and detail, nu-buck upper with perforated napa leather side panels and piping. The bottom features a clear lime green outer sole with “King Of Sneakers” logo detail on the bottom.
The color combination of this shoe is definitely interesting. The blue/purple is a little too dark for the rest of the shoe. It might have looked better in a brighter purple. However, I’m sure these shoes will have many fans. If you like Greedy Genius sneakers, look for these in upcoming weeks. Via Greedy Genius

Air Jordan & Levi.

This shoe is a special design from Ilovedust and Levi. It has a colorway that is entirely done in cackle print. The print is brown on light purple. The toe box and tongue are in one continuous piece. The accents are in reddish brown and khaki.
The toe box is framed in a brown border. The shoe lace is from the same brown. The shoe lace region is reinforced by a boder of brown. The heel has a large panel of brown. This brown leather looks like a heel guard for the sneaker. The brown panel extends up to form a near strap around the ankle.
I like the broad tongue look of this shoe. This design enables the wearer to extend the width of the shoe by loosening the shoe lace. The white Air Jordan logo on the tip of the tongue looks nice set against the colored cackle print background.
The Nike swoosh is in khaki color. The inner lining is from this same color and it complements the look. The midsole is thick and white in color. The outsole looks to be using the khaki color again.
The picture shows the shoe lace being done partially up the shoe. It is the user’s preference to lace partially or all the way up.
Reebok x Bodega Escape Pack
This is one of the most anticipated dual label sneaker projects in a while. We told you about this pack last year. The Reebok x Bodega Escape Pack is expected to release on May 31st at Bodega. The Escape Pack was inspired by the borderline legal, revolutionary, indpendent bus lines that link Boston’s Chinatown to NYC’s Chinatown.
The pack, which retails for $200, includes everything you need to escape to another city for an overnight excursion.
The sneaker is a Reebok Omni Pump Lite in a charcoal and jade colorway with a map of the route on the ankle collar. A matching cap and T-shirt are also included in the pack.
According to Hypebeast, various other essential items including, but not limited to, mix-tapes, rolling, papers, paint markers, and good luck charms round out the contents of this extremely limited release.
Only 100 Escape packs have been produced. Within ONE of the packs is a GOLDEN TICKET upgrade. The lucky winner of the upgrade will get airfare to anywhere in the continental US, as well as a suitcase filled with past limited releases from Reebok. Via Hypebeast.

Air Max 90s with “Real Monsters” Theme

The Nickelodeon cartoon “AHHHH!!! Real Monsters” was a cultural landmark for kids in the 1990s. A designer took a pair of black/white Nike Air Max 90s and created a walking homage to this other-worldly series. The light blue/purple colorway applied to these shoes is designed to look like Ickis.
The big-eared, wide-mouthed Ickis is recreated on the first eyelet using excess leather. The words “AHHHH!!!” are applied in yellow paint to stand out against oases of remaining black leather. These shoes are expertly completed and would make an ideal purchase for sneaker fans looking for pieces of their childhood.

Greedy Genius Phantom “Jewelz”
As part of their Greedy Beach summer collection, Greedy Genius will be releasing the Phantom “Jewelz.” This black sneaker features colorful details including a jewel print on the inner lining, napa leather, a nubuck outsole and purple 3M accents.
The JEWELZ shoe was designed to hide the jewelz by printing them on the inside of the shoe. Facing a global slowdown in the economy we suggest tucking in jewelry this summer.
I really like the use of purple in this shoe, particularly the laces and heel tab. Look for more details about these on the Greedy Genius website.

Air Jordan Flight 23 - Black/Metallic Silver-Bright Cactus-White.
Air Jordan Flight 23 has 4 different colors that are newly released. These shoes are sold at USD 118 each. The Flight 23 belongs to the category of Jordan casual sneakers. These sneakers are an alternative to the Countdown Packs that were inspired by classic Jordan models. They are more affordable than the expensive counterparts.
Air Jordan Flight 23 - Black/Metallic Silver-Bright Cactus-White: The highlight of this shoe is its green cactus translucent outsole. The shoe has many small rectangular holes that have rims/borders in bright cactus (green color). The Air Jordan figure is in silver color.
Air Jordan Flight 23 - White/Metallic Silver-Stealth-Orange Peel: I like the metallic silver and orange peel highlights on the shoe. The midsole and outsole have the a variety of colors ranging from the white, translucent plastic, silver to the orange.
Air Jordan Flight 23 - White/Metallic Silver-Blue Ribbon-Varsity Red: The bright red and blue accents make this shoe look striking. This is the shoe to make a statement.
Air Jordan Flight 23 - White/Metallic Silver-White: The white and metallic silver colors make this shoe look subdued. The look is sleek and sophisticated in a quiet way.
Of all these colorways, I would choose the black one.

Custom Nike Air Max Lights

The Nike Air Max Light is a fantastic running shoe that is oft-used by designers for basic customizations. DunksRNice took the more-is-less approach with the custom Nike Air Max Lights shown above. The designer has a tendency toward colorful but simple designs that meet the needs of most sneaker fans. I like his sparing approach to these customs because they show reverence to the art of customization.
The red/white colorway matches most running gear and looks great with jeans and a button-down shirt. The black and gray mesh adds some diversity to the shoe’s landscape without going overboard with wild colors and patterns. DunksRNice’s designer added his initals (”RT”) in black paint set against the red leather to generate buzz for his own brand. The DunksRNice blog showcases additional pictures as well as past customization projects to give sneaker fans various points of reference.

Air Jordan I Retro Tweed - Father’s Day
Last month there was a peak at a black and white colorway of the Air Jordan I Retro for Father’s Day. Here’s another version for the upcoming holiday, but this time it’s a mustard colored tweed for a very interesting look.
The tweed is used on the side panel, tongue and toe box. White leather is also used in these sneakers, as well as red contrast stitching to create the Swoosh and Jordan logo on the tongue. There is also a red pin stripe around the white midsole.
These Air Jordan I’s are expected to be released on June 7th at $100. They will be out in time for Father’s Day, which is on Sunday, June 15th this year. Pick up a pair for your Pops or for yourself. Via Sneaker Files.

Air Jordan Men’s AJF 5 Basketball Shoe - White/Orange Peel-Stealth-Maize.

This sneaker costs USD 150. It is sold at finishline.
This shoe is a fusion of the Air Jordan and Air Force 1. These two designs make an excellent combination. Nike has taken the two best shoe designs to collaborate and produce a version that has the best of the two models. The Air Jordan brand will celebrate its 23rd anniversary in 2008. The Air Force One would celebrate its 25th anniversary this year. These two franchises of Nike have joined together for this design for the first time. The result would be an example for the rest of the sneaker manufacturers to look up to.This shoe aims to combine the qualities of high performance and artistic expression together.
The sneaker has a white colorway. The official description is that it is White/Orange Peel-Stealth-Maize.The midsole is grey with some orange highlights in the form of 4 jagged ridges. The midsection has an orange panel with an enclosure of a mesh in light grey. The result looks like the section has small orange dashes. It looks like orange rain drops. The ankle has a belt with the same type of orange background and overlaid with a dense mesh; similar to the panel in the midsection.
Storm Trooper Air Force Ones by Chrisco

The series of pictures posted above show the third installment of Chrisco’s Star Wars Pack. These custom Air Force Ones are the hottest of the bunch and use the Imperial storm trooper suit as inspiration. The Storm Trooper custom uses white and black paint to create sneakers recognizable to any fan of the Star Wars series.
The tongue features the six-spoked symbol that indicates a legitimate storm trooper in the Star Wars universe. The heel tag has a well-drawn picture of a storm trooper’s helmet that is an impressive feat for Chrisco. There are several small touches like black vents just above the outsole and black dots on the heel that make these Air Force Ones look Imperial.
Chrisco puts a few final touches on the Storm Trooper Air Force Ones that should please all sneaker fans. The helmet design used on the heel tag is replicated on the insole with a red border to separate the symbol from the black background. Chrisco puts his signature on the tongue to leave his mark on a fantastic pair of custom sneakers.
Cactus x Ubiq Ilis
While Cactus and Ubiq have teamed up together in the past, this collaboration is arguably their best work. The look comes together by mixing and matching different types of shoes. The result is a shoe that is laidback but slick enough to be rocked out on the town.
The three different color schemes all look quite different. One version has a black, white and salmon color scheme, topped by neon green laces. Another version has white, red and brown with bright blue laces. The third color scheme features white, beige and dark green, with dark orange laces. The laces used on these shoes are laces you’d usually see on a boot instead of a sneaker. My favorite is the red edition, but all three colorways have their merits. Via Hypebeast
