Known for their handbags and other luxury leather goods, French brand Hermès has hit the designer sneaker market with these metallic hi-tops.
Using rare materials wuch as crocodile and snakeskin in their bags, Hermès is popular among socialites and the Hollywood elite because their goods carry a steep price tag. That’s the case with these shoes as well. Priced at $7,600 HKD (about $980 USD), the Hermès Metallic Hi-Top Sneakers are available now in Hong Kong at the Galleria. Via Milk/Hypebeast.

In the month of November, 21 Mercer will be organizing an exhibition of the latest Nike ACG Boots collection. This is a new line that features new boots. The brand tries to use the latest technology and designs. The line will use the tried and tested ACG technical features and retain the good qualities of the ACG collection.
The photo shows one of the boots in a black colorway. The boot has a small toe box. The mud guard around it extends to become the midsection of the boot. There are a series of grooves cut into the leather of the boot. The big grooves have smaller grooves cut into the leather. The collar around the ankle of the boot is made of smooth leather. The entire colorway is black and the design depends on the pattern of grooves that are channelled into the material. The midsole of the boot looks striking. The midsole is curved to follow the arch of the foot. There are tiny holes to provide a pattern. Half way down the midsole, there is a series of clear windows. The last layer of the boot is the outsole. This has deep treads cut into it. These boots are meant for rough usage.
This newest member to the Jordan 1 family was molded after the Jordan Phats but with an extra twist. At first glance of this Jordan 1 Velcro, you might think it was another fusion. Instead, it’s a Jordan 1 inspired by the Air Jordan XX. Just like Mike’s 20th signature shoe these too feature lasering but on the Velcro straps, and side panels. The black nubuck and red patent leather seen on the back half of the shoe were also on the Jordan XX. Sol Moore created a pair of custom Air Force Ones recently for a client who just got a color makeover for his car. The car has the words East Side just above the grill as pictured in the photo below. Sol was charged with recreating the East Side print as well as the orange paint job on white Air Force Ones.
Sol added orange and gray paint to these Air Force Ones separated by thin white lines. He used the letter E to represent East and S to represent side on the right and left toe boxes respectively. These letters were painted in black with white borders to stand out from the gray background.
It can be difficult to represent something as complex as a car on a custom sneaker but Sol has done a great job with the East Side AF1s. This upcoming Jordan 1 High Strap wears a color way never seen before on this revolutionary basketball shoe. Some might say the color way resembles the OG black – white color way that was recently retroed in last months Countdown Package. Whatever the case may be we do know this color way brings a new refreshing feel to the Jordan line.
The red accents on the outsole act as a flavor enhancer, bringing some spice to these plain black and white sneaks. White leather was used on the swoosh, heel and toe cap while soft black nubuck was used on the remainder of the shoes. If you can’t quite get with the high straps the ankle strap is removable, so you can rock them with their AJKO swag. The main concept of this Obama sneaker design is contrast and balance. The main message is to express they joy that comes with George W. Bush no longer being our president, and second, to show our support to Senator Obama. The back of this Obama nike air force one features one of the numerous logos for the international day of peace. Peace is one of the main reasons why we support Senator Obama. Finally, at the very back of the shoes, the words “change” and “hope”. The use of distored fonts was to express a scream with hope, asking for change. The face of Bush as president is what this country needs to change, and the face of Senator Barack Obama is the hope.
I dont think many people can argue that Muhammad Ali was the greatest boxer of all time. The way he moved around the ring and the personality he had outside the ring made Muhammad loved by many fans. The crew over at GT Custom Kicks designed these custom air force ones to pay homage to the legendary boxing figure. There are a lot of amazing details for you to check out here, including 4 hand painted portraits of Muhammad Ali. Along with the very detailed portraits GT Custom Kicks also added newspaper clippings to the toe box and part of the side panel that are from the era when Muhammad Ali use to float around the ring. Something you may not realize about the red on the upper is that it was airbrushed and shaded to resemble the look of boxing gloves all included with authentic Everlast tags on the tongues. Those Everlast tags are such a nice addition to these and really take the design that extra step.
