The eco-friendly Gruen collection from Adidas has created some interesting shoes in the past and here is another from their Spring 2009 collection. The Adidas Forum Mid comes in a white and black colorway that features environmentally materials and packaging, including a wooden button on the strap.

If you are “going green,” these environmentally friendly produced sneakers are a nice choice. Via High Snobiety.

UNDRCRWN and adidas remix hook up once again on a collaboration on the TS Creator model. Since Byron Sheng was formerly with adidas Remix and is now a part of UNDRCRWN, the brands have a close connection.

These sneakers feature a black upper that is embossed with an allover stamp to add some texture. It’s also accented with yellow and silver. A championship style ring can be seen on the heel with the crown logo. Via Kenlu.

This design, called the Busy P x 1World Nike Air Force 1, was first released in June ’08. It was exclusively sold in France. This design was an instant sell out. Now, Nike will re-issue this design and limit them to Nike Sportswear stores in New York and Los Angeles. N.Y. will sell them on Oct 30 and L.A. will sell theirs on Oct. 31. New York and Los Angeles will get 100 pairs at each location. Those who are interested may have to camp outside the store overnight to get in line to buy this very limited edition.

The shoes will be sold at –
Nike Sportswear, 21 Mercer, New York, NY. The L.A. location is at Nike Sportswear, at The Montalban, 1615 Vine Street, Los Angeles, CA.

The shoe has a black colorway. The seams are machine stitched in pink thread. The Nike Swoosh is in shiny blue leather. The toe box is in plain black leather with some perforations. The mudguard has cartoons drawn on it. White color is used to draw the lines and do the writing. The midsection and heel segment have cartoons too. The shoe collar at the ankle is lined in pink. The midsole has a gradual progression of colors. The outsole is black. The overall impression of the sneaker is that it is a fun shoe.

The Adidas Boston Celtics Superstar is an incredible tribute to the Celtics. On the heel, it features the stitched championship trophy silhouette, and the number 17 to represent the number of times the Celtics have taken home the championship. The team logo on the heel looks perfect, and the inner side panels Boston on the left shoe, and Celtics on the right. Lastly, World Champions 07-08 is printed on the side.  You don’t have to be a Celtics fan to appreciate the effort from Adidas on these, but you probably will have to hold back the tears if you’re a Laker fan.

Hypethetic has been taking deconstruction to a whole new level lately with his custom sneakers. The designer has created a set of custom woven Nikes that show sneaker fans their favorite shoes from different perspectives. The woven canvas Dunks in this post were taken from Hypethetic’s Customsnkr.com blog linked here.

These Dunks were woven together with pieces of beige canvas to create an entirely new Nike sneaker ahead of the Adiartist show. Hypethetic differentiates between beige panels and swooshes with subtle texturing and exquisite design. The beige storm in front of your eyes is broken up with pink insoles and a special Hypethetic tag on the tongue.

I covered Hypethetic’s Sole Obsession tribute a few weeks ago which featured the woven effect on a pair of Adidas Stan Smiths. While I liked the neon green on the Stan Smiths, I think that Hypethetic was more skillful on the woven canvas Dunks. I admire his artistic courage in using a single color to create such a dynamic shoe. I will feature some more of Hypethetic’s woven sneakers in the future but these custom Dunks show the designer’s continued excellence in creating sneaker art.

In an attempt to help secure marketing rights in the densely populated Shanghai Provience Adidas created this 1 of 1 high top Instinct for the 7′6 China native. The shoe is dressed up the Houston Rockets colors of Poppyseed Red and Sunshine Yellow. Some of the cooler features are Yao’s name stitched across the ankle, the mesh on the in step and Adidas’ trefoil logo inscribed on the heel. This size 17 is up on the bay for under 2 bills! Via:SF
