June 25, 2009 is a very sad and tragic day for America and around the world. Michael Jackson, the one and only King of Pop passed away due to cardiac arrest. He left a legacy with him. Michael is a pioneer in the entertainment and music scene. The man who brought us moonwalk and thriller is admired by millions not only for his songs but for his fashion style. Back in 1980, LA Gear briefly made a Michael Jackson brand sneaker with an MJ monogram on the top and MJ stamp at the rubber sole. The shoes are mainly black with metallic lace holders. The picture you see is actually signed by the man himself. You will always be in our memories Mike. Rest in Peace.

NBA Feet: Kobe Bryant - Champions!
So LAkers are the champions this year. Not surprising. With that war machine under their command, we should be surprised that President Barrack Obama still keeps his seat at the White House. But this victory should at least seal our candidate for the next election. Kobe Bryant for president…
Well maybe not, but surely he deserves the title of president of basketball doesn;t he? It’s not just him who’s contributed to this great victory, but it’s his spirit and his dominance of the filed that have allowed his peers the masterly domination of the courtthat they have achieved on that day.
Winner takes all. That’s the point of sports. But one should not neglect what both sides gain in any game regardless of who wins. Courage, team spirit, pride, and confidence. And these values are symbolized in Nike’s era-busting designs as well.

QustomQueen decided to have some fun with the King of Pop with her entry to the 2009 Clash of the Customizers. Her Moon Walker Supra Skytops draw on Michael Jackson’s famed dance as well as what QustomQueen refers to as Jackson’s “lightened” skin for inspiration. The main attractions on the Moon Walker Supra Skytops are the color-changing rainbows. QustomQueen used heat-sensitive materials to recreate the colors of the rainbow on the middle panels and tongue. The rainbow comes to life when the temperature rises, in particular when someone wears the shoes for a long time. As the temperature decreases, the yellows, reds and blues begin to fade into oblivion.
QustomQueen did not ignore the rest of these Supra Skytops after adding the rainbow colors. Her Michael Jackson lace covers can be added or subtracted based on the wearer’s preference. The stars and nebulae surrounding the rainbow colors add nice touches to the Moon Walker Supra Skytops.
