Vans is the #1 skateboarding shoe brand in California catering primarily to the youth market. The brand had also been manufacturing BMX shoes and snowboarding shoes. Over the years, it has been one of the most popular sneakers brand worldwide. The designs are always classic and simple yet very much challenging in a lot of aspects. The sticky sole and “off the wall” would always and forever be Vans’ trademark. So here we have the latest news, new releases, reviews and pictures of the sneakers brand…Vans.
This Spring 2010, another spectacular line of collection would be released by Vans. After the Era 45-fixie give way to the new set of sneakers from the Vans California series named the Binded Pack. A mini-series consisting of Sk8-Hi and Slip-On, it will be available in two colorways namely Black Espresso and Purple version. These sneakers feature an upper part in canvas with binding contrast and can be purchased soon at your favorite Vans retailers.
This month of February, Vans Vault worked on the Switchback LX to produce earth-toned and rugged silhouettes while the Mountain Edition LX is in contrast with bright colorways such as French Blue and Deep Red. In addition to the Vans Vault line of collection is the Authentic LX in five leather colorways and the Sk8-Hi Standard Issue LX with three colorways. Check out your favorite retailers for these must-see sneakers.
Vans’s Chukka del Barco, or boat shoe, since barco is a spanish translation of boat; recently had a make over. Just a minor make over, with a little change in make up, nothing too drastic so don’t worry. This boat shoe comes in preppy brown color tone, with dark brown and light brown premium leather for the upper, and light brown laces. It’s amazing how versatile this pair could be, it is actually half deck shoe and half chukka boot, so you can put on these shoes and match it with different outfits, when going to different occasions or activities, not so much on the formal ones though.
Vans is starting off 2010 with their sneaker boots Aura collection that is sure to have heads turning for a second look. Michael Jordan will kill me, but these sneaker boots are what exactly I’d call Space Jam boots. It is very different and well, yeah out of this world, but not in a bad way. It’s just very unconventional with all the round press buttons that comes along with it.
This other wordly design comes in three different colorways of black, white, green and brown, all in contrast with white accents except the brown pair.

If Vans is starting out the year with these kicks, I guess all the more we have to look forward to what they have to offer us for the rest of this year.
Vans has teamed with Crooks and Castle for the second time, to come up with another another high top classic design. The upcoming fruit of this collaboration brings you a black and white sneakers ensemble with the top made up of leather with a cris-cross stitching pattern at the heel and what looks like animal fur pattern on the side as well as on the Velcro ankle straps. Like the initial product of this partnership, this high top pair, comes in lace up system. The tongue bears the Crooks and Castles logo and the brand name of Vans to signify the collaboration.
We have yet to find out the actual release dates.
Avril Lavigne’s skater boy would surely want to have the Chukka Low – a sneaker that is the result of the IN4MATION from Hawaii and its collaboration with another famous maker of sneakers, Vans. But skater or non-skater, the wait until the 12th of December would be definitely worth it.
Just like the traditional Vans, Chukka Low incorporates a simple and low-cut design. This is the reason why many people who wants comfort and unfussy shoes patronize the brand. And speaking of which, there is an added comfort for all those who would wear this. No silly, there are no freebies! But the gum midsoles can already be the bonus for this footwear. Other than that, two lace colors are available for each pair (white and red).
Chukka Low will be available at the flagship stores and at the website of IN4MATION. They haven’t revealed the price yet nor allow pre-orders. Check out this site or the site of IN4MATION for updates regarding the price of the fat-laced Chukka Low.
Check out Omar Hassan’s signature skate shoe model. The sneaker is very much similar to Vans design SK8 Mid. Nevertheless, I am sure a lot of sneaker heads will love this cool monochromatic blue model sneaker.
The new Vans Ripsaw Monochromatic Blue Model comes in a monotone cool blue colorway. It comes in a nice suede fabric upper. It comes with a vulcanized sole just like any other Vans sneaker. Check out the new Vans Sk8 Hi Nubuck pack that offers warm color beating the shredders to a pulp. The sneakers come in hot pink and classy black colorways. I personally love the hot pink model of Vans SK8 Hi Nubuck pack. I love the yellow shoe laces that come with it.
The Vans Sk8 Hi Nubuck Pack comes in monotone Upper pink suede leather with nicely aligned perforated design and yellow stitch lining the shoe’s collar and the upper’s lining. The midsole comes in white color with yellow lining around it. Ladies in the house will definitely fall for this new model!
