Isn’t Vans the master of style when it comes to footwear design and creation? No doubt it’s a great company, but we are not sure that everyone is aware of their secret powrs of necromancy.
For though the mastodon is long dead, it’s power has been somehow infused into the design of this beautiful work of art. The geniuses of Vans keep discovering newer ways of creativity with each passing day, and the success of this work is surely another aspect of that spirit.

Vans Summer 2009 Footwear Collection
The masters of style are creating ever more excitement for sneakerlovers with their new and powerful designs. To celebrate the oncoming season of youth and vigor, Vans has released its own herald, featuring the classic theme coupled with a finish that screams “forever young”.
This is clearly a well-planned assault on the works of other brands in the field, and obviously it is a success. Not just a success, of course, it is the mightiest strike of the sharpest sword of innovation ever created in the history of the mankind and beyond. Even at the time of dinosaurs, there was no such superb footwear, we suspect.
Of course Vans will be the vanguard of style. What else would it be with such incredible arms and armor? these shoes rule. go get your pair from the center of the universe.

Crooks & Castles x Vans Forty-Four Hi - June 2009
The perforated upper of the Crooks and Castles pair resembles the perforated brains and hearts of sneaker lovers in all corners of the universe after they have been intoxicated and conquered by the beauty and style of Vans. What kind of wording can do justice to the supreme excellence of this stylish, sporty, and solid design that will quickly put to death the works of some other brands which seem to focus retroing their works to annihilation?
No words can express our feelings of love and amazement properly. Surely, a literary genius would do well to create sonnets to rival those of renaissance in refinement to praise these, but art is dead, as they say, and we agree, except in the eternal field of sneakers, where the celestial talents of Vans designers reign supreme. Oh yeah!

In my search for custom sneakers this week, I came across a young sneaker artist named Elizabeth Dias who shows some promise. Dias works under the label Custom Shoes by Bonz and is using her artistic skills to turn simple shoes into sneaker art. After looking through the Custom Shoes by Bonz Facebook page linked here, I was impressed most by the Pow Bam Vans Slip-Ons.
The Pow Bam Vans Slip-Ons focus on the onomatopoetic words associated with explosions. The toe box looks like it was ripped from the classic Batman TV show with a red “Bam” set against an orange cloud and a blue “Pow” emerging from a red cloud. The Pow Bam Vans Slip-Ons also feature a purple stick of dynamite on the right interior and a purple bomb on the left interior side.
Dias completed these customs with a colorful “Boom” on the heel. The designer has only made a few customs thus far but she shows the talent needed to succeed in the sneaker art world. Malcolm McLaren x Supreme x Vans V-79
The mighty lord of punk rock, and Supreme, the overlord of sneaker underworld have been collaborating this year to produce some rather hot looking designs. The Vans V-79, that simple looking supersonic fighter jet of from the Vans collection, has been chosen as the canvass of Supreme’s art. In addition, some of the most creative artists in Supreme’s roster have combined forces to give this pair an outstandingly colorful and creative appearance.
They’ll appear on May 21st, causing a number of firestorms that will burn down the stores and the roads, as sneakerheads fight to capture them. Such glory! Available at Supreme online store.

The 3 Feet High Pack nowadays seems to be a biennial tradition at Vans. They had released another exceptional design in 2007, and it looks like we’ll have another superior work this year.
