As you can see New Balance has been inspired by comic book illustrations. They have created the New Balance 480 ‘Comic’, a limited edition special version of the classic New Balance 480 model. This New Balance Shoe features black/white comic artwork with some red detail on the tongue and sole. The synthetic leather and mesh upper actually feel like comic book paper. This inspiration of comic book illustrations is said to come from the current thread of Comic movies being released. A comic artist worked with New Balance to create the art used on the shoe.
