The popularity of Guitar Hero has bled into every aspect of entertainment and culture. TV shows and movies are beginning to feature Guitar Hero as a fun aside for characters while millions enjoy thrashing as they live out their rock’n'roll dreams. The custom Nikes pictured above are based on the graphics that emblazon the cover of the Guitar Hero video game.
A replica Guitar Hero logo sits atop the shoe box in a conspicuous way. White-hot flames begin to fade from the tip of the shoe to mid-sole to cut through the black background of the rest of these custom shoes. I am not a huge Guitar Hero fan but I do enjoy the design of these shoes based on the artist’s skills. The flames work perfectly with the negative space on the back of the shoe and the colored keys above the heel add a nice touch of color. The gold skull on the laces is a bit much for my tastes but it is easy enough to remove.
