Ripp created the Gator Nation Air Force Ones for his client Johnny, a diehard Florida Gators fan. We have seen a slew of college-themed sneakers in recent months including several North Carolina customs. The Gator Nation Air Force Ones go above and beyond with plenty of graphics for fans of Tim Tebow, Billy Donovan and other Florida greats.
The exterior sides of the Gator Nation AF1s showcase school mascot Albert the Alligator. The toe boxes feature the Florida Gators logo set against a white backdrop. The designer painted “Gator” on the left heel and “Nation” on the right heel so that the words “Gator Nation” can be seen when the shoes are put together.
Ripp’s Gator Nation Air Force Ones would not have been successful without the proper base colors. The Nike swooshes match Albert the Alligator’s orange sweater and Ripp applied blue to the outsole, heel wrap and toe. The designer topped off these custom AF1s with green heel tags that match the gator’s skin. You can contact Ripp at rippgetem22@yahoo.com if you want to celebrate your favorite college team.
