Tony Stark’s Iron Man suit is pretty cool but it is missing one thing: sweet shoes. The iron boots used on the suit should be replaced by these Air Force Ones created by Sole Junkie Custom Kicks. The portraits of Iron Man commemorates the summer blockbuster starring Robert Downey Jr. as the billionaire super hero.
The red/black colorway offers a simple background for one of Marvel Comics’ most intriguing characters. Sole Junkie added a picture of Iron Man from the waist up over the Nike swoosh on the inside edge of the left shoe. The inside portion of the right shoe has a close-up image of Iron Man’s emotionless metal face.
Sole Junkie’s work is amazing considering the interplay of portrait and background design elements. The golden portions of Iron Man’s mask are mixed well with the red swoosh on the right shoe. My hope is that Sole Junkie takes on the new Hulk movie; it may be the only redeeming part of that retread.
