The latest shoes by Sideview Customs featured a theme that can only be seen as a volcano erupts. The Lava Air Force Ones were featured on the NikeTalk post linked here. Sideview Customs did justice to the lava theme with fantastic detail work and colors that pop off the sneaker.
The red/orange colorway is a nod to the familiar image of flowing lava from nature shows and cartoons alike. Sideview added red veins to stand out from the orange background and create the appearance of motion from the heel to the toe. The designer’s commitment to this colorway is seen in the orange outsole and Nike symbol on the heel.
On the front view of the sneakers below, you can see the Sideview Customs name scrawled out in orange underneath the laces. This little touch may blend into the background but I can appreciate the designer’s effort to brand his work. The Lava Air Force Ones took awhile to create but the work was worthwhile in my opinion.
