Nike ACG Pocket Knife
December 16, 2007

The All Conditions Gear (ACG) series by Nike is designed for nature lovers who are left unserved by competing shoe companies. Nike ACG have been created to deal with snow, rain, dirt and other elements on a regular basis. I have had different all conditions shoes from other companies and I think that there are some good competitors to the Nike ACG. My perspective may be changed by the release of the Pocket Knife by Nike.
One look at the Pocket Knife may not be enough to fully appreciate this shoe. On first blush, I thought the shoe looked too alien to be worn out in the wild. The side stitching, bright colors and unconventional profile of the new Pocket Knife make it an acquired taste. If the gray/green colorway is not your thing, you can check out a yellow/gray colorway that I enjoy in the More Pictures section.
This shoe will be readily available by the beginning of January 2008 for people who like camping and fishing in the middle of winter. I will look to the Nike ACG Pocket Knife as an option once my ACG-inspired New Balances and Adidas run their course. Keep an eye on the Nike website for these unusual but functional kicks.
