Last weekend, Nike organized a special, exclusive function called The Nike “Be True” Family Reunion. This event had limited capacity and was restricted to only those who had received party invitation cards. The people were told to be tight lipped about the event to prevent large numbers of people gate crashing the party and forcing their way in. Nike’s friends were invited and the company treated them warmly like their extended family.
The live entertainment was provided by music from The Cool Kids, Double G, and No Age. There was a Boston Celtics Dunk tank. The food came from a fun BBQ. The gift pack for memories consisted of a pair of free Dunks for the party goers.
The Dunks were in a silver colorway. The entire upper was made from nylon material. This was used to make the shoe softer and more comfortable than leather. The sneaker had a red accent on the shoe upper. The shoe lace was silver/grey. The outsole was blue in color.
These Dunks were also given to Nike employees. Some of them had started wearing them about a fortnight ago. There is no news on whether this Nike shoe would be released for sale to the public.
