Nike Dunk Highs for Yankee and Military Fans

A 17-year old designer posted these Nike Dunk Highs on Nike Talk the other day. These custom sneakers are the young customizer’s premiere pair in his efforts to get a design business off the ground. I think the Yankee and military themes create mixed results on these specialized Dunks.
The camo design painted from heel to toe uses blues and grays that match the colors of the Bronx Bombers. The designer placed the familiar NY symbol behind the swoosh to highlight his love of the Yankees. It is clear that the customizer took great care in honoring two of his favorite institutions.
I admire the designer’s efforts at transposing disparate elements like the military and the Yankees on one shoe. The result is a sneaker that is a bit messy but interesting to view. I am hoping that the designer posts additional pictures on the Yankee Dunk Highs as well as pictures from other projects soon.
