Nike has manufactured a set of 100 limited edition luxury Dunks. This product is not for sale. It is reserved exclusively for Music lovers.
These Dunks are made from patent leather. There are certain special features that are unique to this model. These are the use of 3M Scotchlite TM and a checkered midsole. Nike has retained the inclusion of the Zoom cushioning. So this luxurious Dunk resembles the Nike SB Dunk.
This Dunk package includes a “Be True To Your School†shirt and a suitcase trolley. A special Dunk Hoody will be given free to the very special lot of only 100 carefully chosen guests at the MTV Music Awards in Munich.
These recipients will be further honored in a special ceremony whereby they will be presented with the special Dunk Hoody. The venue will be at Nike’s Dunk Studio. This is a temporary studio space in the vicinity of Munich’s Glockenbach neighborhood.
I like the sneaker’s checkered midsole. This is by far one of the most unique midsoles from Nike. It deviates from Nike’s usual, traditional, quiet style for the midsole.
The Nike logo at the tongue also rests on a mat of checks. This design is well coordinated with the inclusion of the repeated pattern of checks.
