Nike SB has released a new design called the BO ROD. It is available from LTD. One pair costs 23,800 Yen. That works out to be around USD 240.
This edition is a Hi cut shoe. The main designer is Sandy Bodecker. This sneaker takes its inspiration from the P-Rod. The all black colorway has beautiful white designs on it. The toe box has a raised panel with flowing leaves that interweave and form a long, continuous pattern across the round border of the toe box.
The shoe upper at the toe box has several animal figures. I can spot a ram with horns, a bird and a cockerel. The midsection has another panel of flowing leaves. This is followed by a plain black panel. On top of this sits the Nike swoosh in white. The swoosh extends right behind to the heel. There is a portrait of a man at the top of the heel. The bottom of the heel has a round portion of embroidery and these graphics are about leaves again. The inner lining is special with a layer of thick, quilted satin.
I get the impression that the shoe wants to depict a scene of the forest, with its foliage theme. The animals belong to the forest. I like the embroidery. I would treat this as a nice dress shoe for outings.
