tM Customs is bringing some flavor to the summer sneaker market with a pair of Nike Dunks called the Strawberry Kiwi. The designer was commissioned by a skateboarder looking for some color while she is working on her latest tricks. The Strawberry Kiwis blend sound design with brilliant colors to create an effective custom sneaker.
The reason why this tM Customs project is leaps and bounds above other colorful shoes is the adherence to good design. Some designers throw green, blue and pink at their fans without thinking about the second, five or twentieth time that someone views their sneakers. tM Customs took great care to use colors within the context of the Nike Dunk’s lines and shapes.
The bright green laces and Nike swooshes on the Strawberry Kiwis stand out from the rest of the shoe. I love how the turquoise panels work with the pink/black designs to offer different flavors for different tastes.
