A Bathing Ape Bapesta “Ostrich”

bathing-ape-bape-ostrich-bapesta-3

Three more colorways in a new material are added to A Bathing Ape’s Bapesta lineup. Shunning away from their signature patent leather lineup, the newly-released Bapestas feature an ostrich leather detailing that added texture and dimension to the collection. The lineup appears solid in a classic low-top silhouette that seems to assure comfort when wearing them.  The colorways include three options in Magenta/Blue/White (shown above), White and Tan/Black/White.  All three pairs also feature white laces that make a nice contrast to the Magenta and Tan colorways.

Retailing at $200, these kicks are now available at all Bape stores nationwide.

A Bathing Ape Isetan Pattern Bapesta

A Bathing Ape Isetan Pattern Bapesta

A Bathing Ape has collaborated with Isetan, a Japanese store, to come up with this new version of the Bapesta. With a myriad of colors and patterns, these Bapes really stand out. Considering the usage of red and green in the color scheme, these kicks would make sense to rock around Christmas time.

Besides red and green, yellow is the most used color on the shoe. In fact, the yellow shoe laces may stand out more than any other aspect. Although the look of these kicks is definitely unique, Bape did a good job of keeping them looking fresh. Though I don’t like these for myself personally, if you like these types of patterned shoes, you can get them at Bape stores for 16,590 yen. Via Hypebeast.

Bape Fall/Winter 2008 Manhunt Boots

Bape Fall/Winter 2008 Manhunt Boots - #1

If you are looking for a new shoe for the colder weather, check out the Manhunt boots from Bape. These unique, laidback kicks won’t be for everybody but for those who like the relaxed look, these Bapes may be a good choice in the upcoming fall and winter months.

Two colorways are available. The light version uses beige with brown laces. On the other hand, the dark version uses black with blue laces. Both have a light midsole and the word “Manhunt” embossed down the front of the shoe and the “R” logo near the heel. Via High Snobiety.

Bape Roadsta “Hiking Pack”

Bape Roadsta Hiking Pack - #1

Some of the releases from Bape have been pretty poor lately – such as the Sockstas and Bapesta Sandals. Here comes more shoes – these are a decent though still not amazing.

The Bape Roadsta “Hiking Pack” features three shoes inspired by classic hiking boots by the material, as well as the laces. These Roadstas come in three colorways, that you will also find in hiking boots. Personally, I’m most fond of the grey pair pictured above, but you can get all three colorways at Bape stores. Bape Tracksta

Bape Tracksta - #1

The latest shoe from Bape is the new Bape Tracksta. This running shoe features a simple design that is similar to some of Nike’s running sneakers.

Including in this release are five colorways, the loudest of which is an orange/white/black version. The rest of the shoes are pretty tame, featuring mostly white, blues and other neutrals.

The Bape Tracksta is available right now at Bape Stores worldwide, priced at 11,340 yen. Via Hypebeast.

Bape Aqua Socks “Sockstas”

Bape Aqua Socks Sockstas - #1

Recently we talked about the overpriced Bapesta sandals, now A Bathing Ape has created some overpriced socks.

Well, not exactly just socks – aqua socks, which means they are like a short shock with a rubber sole attached. I guess they are good for water sports, but I’m not sure that I’d pay $70 for them.

They come in four colors all with the Bapesta logo. You can get them in M, L & XL in upcoming weeks at Bape flagship stores for 7,140 yen. I’m not a big fan of these, but I’m sure somebody will like them. Via Nick Kicks.

A Bathing Ape Dot Bapesta

Do you want a lively shoe that will certainly garner attention? Check out these shoes from A Bathing Ape.

The Dot Bapesta features multicolored dots all over a black or white base and a neon green sole. These shoes will remind you of confetti.

The white shoe features a hot pink inner lining and a blue outer sole for even more color, while the black version features black inside and on the outsole.

Personally, I don’t mind the black Bapesta but the white version reminds me of clown shoes. Get these at Bape retailers worldwide right now. Via Hypebeast.
