Customize Me: Nike Air Max 1 “Horizontal Response II”

From Evolved Footwear comes a revived design pattern first use some three years ago by these customs sneaker artists. Featuring  blue, white and black colors alternating all over the upper. Mettalic accents figure in the Nike logo Swoosh and back panel. The white laces also give a nice contrast though I would have preferred black laces on this one.  The pattern and colorways make me think it is older than three years. It is really more of a throwback to the 80s, notice the shade of blue they used here?

Well, I would think there is a market to this design. After all, the 80s generation can well afford to get a pair of these now. And when you do decide to buy one, you have to allow 2-3 weeks delivery as each pair is made-to-order. Besides, that’s what customs sneakers are for.

Here is a better look at the Red and Blue Safari Air Max 1s from Nikes WMNS Safari Pack. This latest pair to be explored arent quite the colors that come to mind when you hear the word “safari”. They feature a very rich red upper complete with red suede, mesh and midsole. Breaking up all that red is a nice helping of black safri print that covers the midsection and heel. Along with a blue sapphire lining and top eyelits. Already out in some stores or get yours now on eBay.

Air Max 1 OG Colorway – Available

The Air Max 1 OG red color way has started to release already and to our surprise the Blue color way has to. When we first brought you the story we only thought the red version would be retroing but it wouldn’t be quite right without both. Your chance has finally arrived if your in the market for a pair. Both, the red and blue versions of the classic shoe will be hitting Overkill in Berlin on July 1st in limited quantities. Due to Nike restrictions, they will only have 24 pairs of each and they will only be available in-store. It’ll be hard to get a pair but make the effort they probably wont be back for a while.

OG Nike Air Max 1 Colorway Returns

Nike began retoring OG color ways of the Air Max 95 around the same time last year. Since then they’ve also released Original color ways of some of their other Air Maxes. Aside from many 95 retroes they also re released the Infrared 90(   premium and gr version), The Tailwind and most recently the Persian BW. Seems they will continue down the Air Max line and release an Original color way of the Air Max 1

They color chosen to re release has been retroed many times before. The last time they were part of the History of Air (HOA) pack released in December 2005. A mesh toebox, red suede mudguard and swoosh along with grey suede side panels will be making their way to shelves this June. Slated for a late June Quickstrike release at Overkill, no word if they’ll hit the states.

The Nike Tanabata Pack is another pack made to celebrate a Chinese festival. Tanabata, which is also known as the Star festival, takes places on the 7th day of the 7th month when the two stars Altair and Vega meet. These stars are normally separated by the Milkyway.

The Tanabata Pack features three models – the Air Max 1, Court Force Low and Court Force High. All three shoes use a white base accented with blues, yellow and red. Patent leather is used in these shoes, as well as a star pattern. Size? has the pack in stock right now, ranging in price from £59.99 to £79.99 pounds.
