Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Air Max 90s

TWiTCH is back with a pair of Nike Air Max 90s inspired by the 1990s TV hit The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. The designer has been holding this design close to the vest the last two years as other projects have come and gone. These custom Air Max 90s were worth the wait as TWiTCH brought his best to this project. These Air Max 90s were found on the NikeTalk post linked here.

The muse for TWiTCH’s custom work was the graffiti background behind Will Smith’s mom in the title sequence to the show. Both shoes feature unique graffiti messages taken from the background with impressive accuracy. The back heel features a cartoon font with the words “West” and “Philly” to represent where the Fresh Prince started out.

TWiTCH customized these Air Max 90s further by adding neon green and neon pink laces to the shoes in different pictures. While TWiTCH recognized that these Air Max 90s were pretty bright in his NikeTalk post, I love the brash colors used on these sneakers. Wasn’t Will Smith acting up and showing off in the opening sequence? These Air Max 90s are expertly done and match the tone of TWiTCH’s source material.

C2 Customs Presents Bamboozled Air Max 90s

bamboozled1.jpg

The custom Air Max 90s shown in this post are offered by C2 Customs under the name Bamboozled. The black/red colorway offers a simple but stylish look for sneaker fans tired of overly complex shoes. These unique shoes are available in size nine from the C2 Customs website.

The major feature of the Bamboozled Air Max 90s is a bamboo pattern that runs from one side of the toe box to the other. This pattern features black bamboo stalks that are differentiated from the original black paint with a faded red background.

The distressed details on each bamboo stalk is impressive considering the amount of work needed to complete this effect. A more impressive feat on these custom Nikes is the control exhibited by the designer when it came to the bamboo theme. The temptation to paint bamboo stalks all over these shoes and add extraneous elements cannot be found in the final product.
