Diamonds are everywhere. There’s the diamond iPod, diamond bikini, diamond bag and now a pair of diamond studded sneakers. Presenting The Nike Air Force One “So Cals” made by Atlanta’s Laced Up boutique as part of a new service called Solitaire Kicks. The service is offered by Laced Up with the help of Prriya & Chintans Couture and Jewelry, who provide fashion consultation to customers when customizing their shoes with yellow, blue or white diamonds as well as silver and gold. The “So Cals” are adorned with 11 carat diamonds framing the Nike logo. No worries about the diamonds falling out when shooting some hoops for the gems are affixed to the shoes by fine gold stitching.

The first pair, worth an estimated $50,000 was given to rapper Big Boi at the launch party for Solitaire Kicks. Is this still the most expensive sneaker to date? I won’t be surprise if another sneaker will come out soon that will break this record.

The Nike Air Force One “2009 Black History Month” is a commemorative shoe. This shoe is not available for sale to the public. This shoe will be presented free to individuals who are active in the community and do work in support of the Black History. This shoe made its debut on Jan. 20, the day of the Inauguration of America’s 44th President, Barack Obama.

This shoe is packed in a special black bag. Printed on the bag is an inspirational quote, under the “100 Year” logo. The quote traces the history of America and the continual fight for freedom, equality and justice. The bag is in the significant color of black. The quote is quite general and refers to all Americans.

The shoe has a black colorway. All its seams on the upper are lined in red thread stitching. The toe box has perforations for ventilation. The tag at the tip of the tongue has a large round logo printed in white. The edge of the tongue is lined in green. The collar of the ankle is lined in red. The inner lining is in red to match the red stitching on the upper. This is a classic design that can be worn all the year round. (Images)

The Nike Air Force One All Star Game 2009 QS has been designed by DJ Clark Kent. The toe box is defined by double stitching in yellow thread. Its accompanying black mudguard sets off a formal look for the sneaker. Please look for this shoe at Nike.

The shoe lace panels are in black, with a matching black tongue. The label at the tip of the tongue is purple, with yellow and orange words. The shoe lace is purple with small yellow stars. This section looks good. The purple accents are in small amounts so as to avoid distractions. The midsection has a panel of orange colored leather that is of similar quality as the leather found on a basketball. That is a tribute paid to the basketball sport. The purple section at the heel also uses the basketball leather.

The back tab reminds that this is a Nike Air Force shoe. The midsole uses the basic color of the shoe; which is black. The outsole is yellowed gum with a nice pattern of treads. It looks neat and uniform.

The orange and purple colors were chosen to represent the Phoenix Suns. I like this shoe. I think the contrasting yellow thread stitching is a nice highlight. (Images)

The Air Force 1 Premium Wildedge is sold at the website named Cooli. Its colorway is inspired by the ACG collections. This shoe is part of Nike’s holiday shoe releases.

The toe box is in red nylon. The black mudguard protects it. The black color is like an analogy to coal, which provides fuel for the red fire to burn. The shoe lace region is done in red leather. The black lace is a striking contrast to the orange toe box. There is a nice looking silver lace lock. The black tongue ends in an orange tag. It coordinates with the Mandarin-orange colored Nike swoosh. This orange accent is found in the inner sole of the shoe.

The heel is a large portion that encroaches into the main section of the shoe upper. The black leather limits the red nylon panels. To avoid having too much black at the heel, Nike has attached a red back tab at the back of the heel. The midsole is a black background speckled with white dots. The outsole is black, with its two traditional air cushion pumps in Mandarin-orange.

Kevin Hunter and Mayor are big Nike Air Force 1 collectors. Nike has honored these two collectors with their very own special edition Nikes. These are not for sale to the public. They are one off sneakers which may never be made again. Kevin Hunter and Mayor received their special sneakers which were designed by the Nike Innovation Kitchen.

Kevin Hunter received a Bentley inspired Air Force One. This red colored shoe has been inspired by Kevin Hunter’s Bentley. The Bentley features are closely emulated on the red shoe. The toe box and mudguard are in different types of leather to provide a contrast in the grains. The midsection has the Bentley “B” flying through on a pair of wings. The midsole and outsole are made of thick gum.

Mayor has a special edition Air Force One to honor him. This is his 1000th pair and Nike has lasered one thousand figures of “1” on the shoe upper. The shoe upper has an interesting mix of colors. The shoe upper is beige while the “1” is brown. The Nike swoosh is cream colored. The midsole and outsole are in beige colors which are complementary to the shoe.

The Nike Air Force One High has a new pack. The outstanding styles are the Stash designed black/white colorway and the Snowboard Boots with a safari colorway. These two styles will be released later in November while the other two styles are already in the stores. Look for them at Nike retailers.

The Stash has a good mix of leathers. The toe box is made of unpolished leather with perforations. The mudguard and heel of the shoe is in textured leather. The midsection is safari leather with black and grey colors. The shoe strap at the ankle uses the same safari leather. The white Nike swoosh is outstanding.

The Snowboard Boot has a white toe box. The rest of the shoe upper is covered in grey colored safari print. The midsection has a small segment of blue and black patterned material. The beige Nike swoosh matches with its shoe strap at the ankle.

The Air Force 1 High with the blue and yellow colorway looks good too. The shoe strap and Nike swoosh are in black color and this accent works well for the shoe.

The last shoe in the pack looks different with its grey colored shoe upper and light blue accents. Nike has provided a different looking, subtle design in the same pack for fans who prefer a toned down version of the Air Force One High.

Nike Air Force 1 and the French rapper, Booba, have worked together to create this shoe. This red shoe has an upper with overlaying graphics. This shoe will be released on Dec. 6. The quantity is limited to 176 pairs and sold exclusively at Booba’s boutique Boulbi & Co. in Boulogne.

The toe box is in smooth leather and the graphics provide an interesting pictorial look. The red shoe lace over a white tongue looks good. The tip of the tongue has the number 09. The midsection of the shoe is almost covered in the pattern. The Nike swoosh is in plain red leather or else it would become hidden in the upper. The inner lining is red, while the inner sole is white with a graphic. The same graphic is on the outsole.

Booba’s logo is on the lace lock. The white midsole complements the tongue and inner sole. This sneaker looks good. The strongest feature is the overlaying graphics. The shoe is made classy and stylish for going out. Although it is of a red color, the shoe carries enough sophistication to be used as a formal shoe too.

The Nike Air Force One Mid Supreme Baltoro will be released for retail sale on Nov. 29 and it sells for $175. It has a blue toe box and grey mudguard. The shoe lace region is in the same grey color. The shoe lace is brown-orange in color. There is a grey colored lock on the first pair of shoe laces. The ankle of the shoe has a shoe strap in grey color. Half the tongue is in the same blue material as the toe box as the segment has extended up to form the tongue. At the tip, the grey colored tag has a “Nike” printed nicely on it.

The midsection has a black colored panel overlying an orange colored layer. There are three small perforations in the black panel which reveals the orange color underneath it. The Nike swoosh is blue, with fine lines that resemble the elephant print. The midsole is in shiny material, which is colored black and blue. The outsole is black with dense, deep treads. At the collar of the ankle, there are accents in orange color. There is a back tab in blue color. The inner lining is in grey. It is a good looking shoe.

The Nike Air Force 1 Low Premium is a popular shoe. The basic model has been issued in many colors before. Some people think that autumn is the perfect season to wear the Nike Air Force One shoe. This shoe will be sold at Atmos-Tokyo from Nov. 1st.

The toe box is in rich, brown leather, with neat rows and columns of perforations. The mudguard surrounds the toe box. The shoe lace region is in the same rich brown leather. The dark brown shoe lace matches well with this brown color. There is a shoe lace lock at the beginning of the shoe lace. The midsection of the shoe is in Buffalo plaid. The section of plaid is arranged at an angle that flows with the midsection of the shoe. Due to the angles of arrangement, the two sections of plaid look different. The heel is also made of the same plaid but it is arranged at a different angle. The back tab is white in color. The Nike swoosh is attached over the plaid. The inner lining is in chocolate brown. The midsole looks clean in white. I think that plaid is a tradition with country styles and autumn.

SlamJam has collaborated with Nike Air Force One to create the special design named Optical Force. SlamJam is an Italian store that picked up the Air Force One and gave it two new colorways. The SlamJam logo is embossed below the Nike logo on the heel tab. The SlamJam and Nike Air Force One “Optical Force” pack will be available for purchase from Sept. 20 at SlamJam Milan.

The yellow colorway looks bright and sunny. The material is wrinkled leather. The toe box has vertical columns of perforations stemming down from the first pair of shoe lace lock. The mudguard is a slightly raised portion that surrounds the toe box. White color is used as an accent. The shoe lace, tag at the tongue, inner lining, Nike swoosh, midsole and outsole are white. The inner lining is padded with mesh material. The shiny look is somewhat subdued by the wrinkled leather so the look is a right mix. The sneaker uses just two colors and the effect gives the shoe a clean look.

The black colorway is identical to the yellow one. I like the black colorway. The black shine is sufficient to show the glossy shine.
