Nike Air Yeezy Launch Event – Sydney

The Air Yeezy has been shaking various parts of Australia these days, where the release of the extravagant masterpiece has been greeted with rave reviews by art critics and sneakerheads alike. Overall, there seems to be a conviction this is the renaissance of footwear, where the classics of the 90’s are reborn
with fresh vigor and livelihood.

The party in Sydney had the all the court jesters in attendance.
DJ Echo and Sydney rapper Snob Scrilla: those two lovely creatures of the disco underworld were there in full glory, with vampires and imps honoring the night with their howls of addiction.

The netherworld, and the world of shadows are both jealous and desirous of the Yeezy. If you, the reader, are human, we suggest that you make use of your privilege and catch your pair, before the earth holds you tight, and your hands can no longer grasp those marvels.

Some entrepreneur at eBay is offering the Nike Air Yeezy Black Pink at 2500 bucks. Sure, many of you will laugh at this, and think of him as some kind of failed crook. But we disagree.

The point of the $2500 tag is not that you will go and pick it up for that price, but it does show  how intoxicated and mesmerized the owner of this pair is with his Nikes. He wants to make a profit, but cannot really afford to part with his beloved Nike Air Yeezy, and the consequence is this unusual price tag. It’s the dazzle of Nike that makes people behave like crazy monkeys sometimes.

At the VH1 Hip Hop Honors Show, Kanye West was wearing a new pair of his collaboration sneakers with Nike – the Air Yeezy. This new colorway features bright red mixed with grey and white. The red is perforated leather, while the grey is suede giving these shoes a very unique look.

There’s no word of a release for the Air Yeezy, but with all the colorways seen on Kanye and his entourage, eventually these kicks should hit the shelves. Via What’s Poppin’.

We have seen these shoes on Kanye West’s feet time and time again, but never any clear photos. Now, you can finally get a good look at the Nike Air Yeezy.

The black version uses a lot of different textures for a pretty sweet look, but I’m not fond of the beige shoe. Here’s the details:

“The Air Yeezy is inspired by Kanye’s love for high top designer shoes, drafting from the collar molding seen in the Air Jordan V and featuring a thin midfoot strap hardly meant for support. While originally conceptualized atop a Dunk midsole, the final version of the Yeezy features the familiar shared tooling from the Jordan III and Air Revolution, which most recently was also featured on Jordan Brand’s Spiz’ike and a lesser known model that deservedly flew under the radar, the Flight 48. It’s also the bulkiness of the shoe’s tongue that stands out most, with West always opting to pop the tongue and leave the waxed laces loosely tied. An ode to his tour, the model’s outsole also actually glows in the dark, as similar to a common glow stick, if the shoe is held near light, the familiar green glowing hue will radiate afterwards out from under the shoe. This black/glow colorway features a ridiculously high quality full grain leather along the heel quarter, with rich suede making up the toe and midfoot overlays and patent leather highlighting the dominant midfoot strap.” Via Solecollector.

Nike Air Yeezy For Tinker Hatfield

We have seen the Nike Air Yeezy for Kanye West sometime back. Now, Tinker Hatfield has shown us the Nike Air Yeezy that he wears.

First of all, who is Tinker Hatfield? He is one of the famous designers of Nike’s athletic shoes. He supervises Nike’s designs. He has designed the Air Jordan III, Air Jordan XV, 20th anniversary Air Jordan XX and many others. He designed the cross trainer, the Nike Air Trainer. This shoe is a multi-sport shoe that can be used in many sports.

Tinker was in China recently, on June 21 2008. He wore the new Nike Air Yeezy. This is Kanye West’s favorite shoe and it is known as the Kanye West signature shoe. This is a customized version of the Air Yeezy so it will not be made into mass production. This model was made by Mark Smith for the exclusive use of Tinker Hatfield.

The shoe has a white colorway. The light blue strap is the distinguishing accent. It has some white lines of graphic details. The toe box is framed by a light grey midsole. Above this is a grey colored mudguard. Along the shoe lace region, there are line borders of light orange colors. The shoe lace is light grey in color. It is a great shoe.

Nike Air Yeezy – Kanye West’s shoes.

Nike Air Yeezy presents the fourth colorway in grey/orange/white. This range was designed for Kanye West. This pair of sneakers was designed to co-ordinate with Kanye’s stage costume that looked like a flight suit. Kanye used his full set of attire on every show for his Glow In The Dark tour. This tour has stopovers in many cities in North America. So far, this design has only been worn by Kanye. It is assumed that this pair of shoes has not been released for sale to the public.

The midsole has white, orange and transparent sections. The outsole is black. The toe box is grey. It is framed by a border of light grey leather. The toe box and the midsection seemed to be a continuous piece of leather.

From the heel part of the midsole, a separate panel of leather is attached and this moves upwards to extend into a shoe strap. This strap is made of shiny, grey leather.

The tongue is high. The shoe stretches up to accommodate the tongue but it slopes down towards the ankle at the back of the shoe. In other words, the entire shoe is not high cut. Another unique feature is that the Nike swoosh is placed near the heel at a horizontal line. I like the cool look of this grey colored pair of Nike sneakers.
