TTK Obama Blazers

TTK created a pair of custom Nike Dunks in honor of Senator Barack Obama’s historic campaign back in July. He was asked recently to create a new pair of Nike Blazers in anticipation of the November 4th election. These pictures were found at TTK’s latest Nike Talk post linked here.

While TTK drew on the same colorway as his Obama Dunks, the Obama Blazers feature different images of the senator during his campaign. The Obama Dunks showed the presidential candidate in profile smiling and looking thoughtfully at a fictional speaker outside of the shoe. The Obama Blazers picture Senator Obama looking out from the shoe, making eye contact with the viewer.

TTK showed his client’s support for Senator Obama with a quick “Obama 08″ in blue paint. The left shoe features the word “Change” in matching blue paint to sound Obama’s campaign theme. You can get your own Obama customs and other sneakers from TTK by emailing gottkgo@yahoo.com.

Air Max Malice 90s

TTK is back to prime form with his custom Air Max 90s dubbed Malice. These photos were found at the Nike Talk post linked here and bear the signatures of a great TTK shoe. His eye for creative design along with a deft touch with the paint brush are evident in the Air Max Malice 90s.

The designer wanted to create a representation of the word malice without using obvious symbols and colors. TTK decided to use the neutrality of gray tones to simulate the blinding rage behind acts of malice. He drew out a series of shards and lines with different shades of gray while including small flecks of red paint to complete the malice theme.

I am a big fan of TTK and his work on the Air Max Malice 90s is impressive. His awareness about cliched and stale artistic tools including the use of red to symbolize violence shows his confidence in his own skills. He gives a nod to people looking for blood (red laces and red paint flecks) without sacrificing his artistic preferences.

TTK Party Reflections Nike Blazers

It isn’t hard to find a favorable post that I have written about TTK in the annals of MyAirShoes. I have written plenty of reviews about the designer’s custom sneakers that can be found by searching the website’s archives. His latest custom sneakers may put some of these past projects to shame.

TTK recently unveiled a pair of custom Nike Blazers called the Party Reflections that is a fantastic piece of sneaker art. The designer used magenta (right) and turquoise (left) spots on the Nike swooshes to give the appearance that the wearer was too eager to show off these shoes to wait for the paint to dry. TTK adds the opposite color to each shoe subtly to balance out the shoes. This crafty approach to sneaker design shows that TTK’s best work is still ahead of him.

You can check out additional work by TTK in his latest post on Nike Talk linked here. The designer has also created a pair of Nike Blazers called the Submerged Jungles that are pretty stylish.

Triggerfish Nike Dunks

TTK used the colorful clown triggerfish as his inspiration when designing the custom Dunks posted here. These Nike Dunks are called “Triggerfish” and create an artistic representation of the fish’s peculiar physical features. A simple search of Google Images under “clown triggerfish” will show any reader that TTK got it right with these Nike Dunks.

The oblong white spots set against black paint is a fantastic simulation of the triggerfish’s primary colors. TTK went further to highlight the clown triggerfish by adding light blue, coral and yellow paint throughout the shoe. The lighter colors on the toe boxes and swooshes are welcome additions on sneakers that could have ended up pretty bland.

TTK matched his past efforts with the Triggerfish Nike Dunks. You can learn more about this beautiful pair of sneakers by heading to TTK’s website linked here.
